The Duke’s Lacrosse Club Green squad finished 4-0 in pool play today at the annual Tri-State Holiday Shoot-Out Christmas Tournament at the Peddie School’s Von Athletic Center in Hightstown, N.J.
Dukes Green earned the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs today. Dukes Blue went 3-1, and is the No. 3 seed.
Dukes Green was led by sophomore goalies Brian Zappala (Episcopal Academy) and Will Schreiner as well as sophomore attackman Nick Ellis (St. Joseph’s Prep), freshman attackman freshman Curtis Zappala (Episcopal Academy), sophomore defenseman Chris Isenberg (Malvern Prep), and sophomore middies Chase Young (St. Joseph’s Prep) and Robbie Kuhn (Moorestown, NJ).
Dukes Blue was led by freshman goalie Ryan Kern (Appoquinmink, DE), freshman middie Sam Fink (Wilmington Friends), and freshman attackmen James Vandegrift and Jake Pousson (Avon Grove).
Dukes Blue faces the No. 6 seed at 10:35 a.m. in the quarterfinals while Dukes Green meets the winner of the No. 4 vs. No. 5 seed in the semifinals at 11:45 a.m.
