The HEADstrong Foundation will host the 2nd Annual HEADstrong Rivalry Games Saturday at Widener University.
The Rivalry Games will feature six top high school varsity and five JV boys’ lacrosse games (see schedule below) from the Philly region and benefit the HEADstrong Foundation and its fight to cure blood cancer in the name of Nick Colleluori.
Games begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the final start time of 7:30 p.m. when Ridley plays Central League rival Strath Haven at Widener Stadium.
Each Team participating in the Rivalry Games supports the HEADstrong Mission by selling HEADstrong T-Shirts, and distributing HEADstrong brochures.
Admission is a donation of $5 per person, with all fans 5 years & under admitted free.
Last year more than 3,000 fans attended and more than $32,000 was raised in the fight against blood cancer.
The HEADstrong Foundation was founded by Ridley grad Colleluori, a student-athlete at Hofstra University at the time of the diagnosis. Nick established HEADstrong during his 14-month battle against cancer. He passed away on November 28, 2006 during his sophomore year at Hofstra.
