Conestoga rising senior defender Jackie Borzillo has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Marquette University.

Major lacrosse honors: Helped Conestoga reach second round of District 1 tournament last year.

Why did you choose school? “Academically, the school is very prestigious. When I found out they were starting a new lacrosse program (for 2011-12), I was very excited.
After meeting coach Meredith Black, who was so nice, I decided that Marquette was a good fit. I’m looking forward to helping build the program.”
Other Info: Conestoga senior goalie Sarah Priem also has committed to Marquette.
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “I think this year Conestoga will have a great season. I think if we really work hard, we can win states.”
