Bayard Rustin junior midfielder/attack Meghan Miller has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Duquesne University.

Meghan Miller log:

Meghan Miller

High school: Rustin High School
Graduation year: 2013
Position: midfield/attack
College choice: Duquesne University
Club affiliation: SEPA
Major lacrosse honors: Philly Showcase All-Star Team 2010, Philly Showcase Offensive MVP 2010; National Team 2011; All-Ches-Mont Third Team 2011; All-American Showcase and Upper Atlantic Champs 2011 – SEPA; Invited to attend Philly Showcase Camp

What will you major in/study?: Communications or Health Management

Why did you choose school?: “I chose Duquesne for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, I like Coach (Michael) Scerbo and his great coaching staff. I felt a strong connection to the coaches and the players. I’m excited to be a part of such a wonderful lacrosse program. Two, I was drawn to the campus for not only it’s beautiful location but for it’s strong academics and close-knit community.”

Outlook for your high school team in 2012:
“We are looking forward to a great season. We have many returning players that are excited to make things happen. We are going to be a strong team in the Ches-Mont League this year!”

Other comments: “I want to thank my high school coach, Laura Capuano, for believing and supporting me; my SEPA coaches for their encouragement; and my family for being there every step of the way – helping me be the best that I can be, making my dream a reality, and being the best fans a player could ask for!”
