Recent Radnor graduate Emily Gerber (midfield/attack) has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Williams College.

Gerber was a key contributor to a Radnor team that shared the Central League championship in 2011. She was named the US National Army Reserve Scholar Athlete and Radnor’s Pixie Hamilton award, which goes to the lacrosse player that gives 110% on and off the field.

Gerber’s also was a First Team all-league pick for the Radnor cross country team.

When Gerber makes her transition to Williams, she intends to study either Art History or Economics. Gerber’s priority during her school decision process was to find a school that could offer her both high caliber academics and athletics.

“I was looking for a school where I could continue to play lacrosse at a good level, and where I could still really focus on my academics,” Gerber said. “Williams is considered the strongest DIII school, so when looking at it, the school had a lot that I really liked.”

Radnor was knocked out of the District 1 tournament in the second round by Council Rock North.

“Our loss in the second round was really disappointing,” Gerber said. “But fAfter losing 11 starters I thought we did very well.”
