Note: Phillylacrosse.com is recognizing the athletes and coaches of the 2011 season with its annual All-Phillylacrosse.com selections. The series continues Friday with the Boys’ and Girls’ Coaches of the Year. Beginning Monday, Phillylacrosse.com will post its all-stars teams throughout the week.

Phillylacrosse.com Girls’ Honorable Mention Players of the Year for 2011

Kelly Devlin, Downingtown East, senior midfielder: Led Philly area with 109 assists and also posted 47 goals, 114 draw controls and 133 groundballs … Led Cougars to first Ches-Mont League and District 1 championships and berth in state finals … Named Under Armour Senior and US Lacrosse All-American and selected for ESPN RISE/US Lacrosse Champion Challenge … Signed with North Carolina.

Ali Karwoski, Great Valley, junior attack: Led Philly area with 132 goals … Ches-Mont League First Team … Led Patriots to 21-4 record and berth in PIAA semifinals … Played for PA team in Brine All-America National Lacrosse Classic … Had key assists on game-winning goals in overtime in two state playoff games.

Carli Sukonik, Harriton, senior attack:
 Had 118 goals and 27 assists … US Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, Academic All-American, Central League First Team … Led Rams to share of first Central League championship and first PIAA berth … Played in ESPN RISE Games/US Lacrosse Champion Challenge … Scored 335 career goals, 12 in one playoff game this year and won two playoff games with goal in final 10 seconds … Signed with Lehigh.
