Souderton rising senior midfielder Danielle Notvest has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Villanova university.
Notvest was a First Team Suburban One Continental Conference and a US Lacrosse

Academic All-American in 2010 when she led the Indians to an 11-7 record and a berth in the District 1 playoffs. She collected 62 goals, 83 draw controls and 61 groundballs.
Notvest, who played club lacrosse for Ultimate Goal, plans to major in a field of science.
“The school is a great fit for me,” she said. “I like the combination of the athletics and academics, and I like the size of the school, the coach (Jebb Chagan) and the players.
‘Also, it is convenient because my parents can come and watch games and I’ll still have my life away form home.”
Notvest, a member of the National Honor Society, also is involved in two service clubs at Souderton – Link Crew (mentoring underclassmen) and SAVE (Students against Violating the Earth).
Notvest is confident the Indians can challenge in the Suburban One Continental Conference and make an impact in districts in 2011.
“We are only losing four seniors and I think next year we can be really good,” she said. “We have a strong core and hopefully we can go further in the playoffs.”
Notvest is the second Souderton rising senior to commit to a Division I college. Kirstin Russell (attack) committed to George Mason in the spring.
Notvest will join Bishop Shanahan’s Hannah Goforth (midfielder) as a Villanova recruit.
