Radnor rising senior goalie Annie Woehling has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Princeton University.
Woehling was a First-Team US Lacrosse All-American this year, while helping the Red Raiders capture their second straight Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic 
Woehling, also an Academic All-American who is a member of the National Honors Society, is undecided on a major but is considering some areas of science. At Princeton she will play for US Lacrosse Hall of Famer Chris Sailer, a Haverford High graduate.
“Princeton had the right balance of academics and lacrosse that I was looking for,” said Woehling. “The team had very obvious chemistry on my visit that reminded me a lot of the Radnor team. Coach Sailer, coach (assistant Amy) Altig and (assistant) DJ (Michele DeJuliis) are all great people that have a lot to offer.”
This year Woehling averaged nine saves and had a save percentage of .600. She also was the starter for last year’s state-title winning team. She also is one of the goalies for the Philly team that begins play in the Under Armour Underclassmen Games Saturday morning at Towson University.
“My teammates and coaches made this season absolutely unforgettable,” she said. “The fact that the team as a whole was able to work together to accomplish our final goal of a state championship is incredible. Absolutely everyone contributed throughout the season and I feel very lucky to have been a part of such a cohesive group.”
Next year Woehling will be counted on even more as Radnor graduates a stellar senior class, including three other All-Americans (Kelyn Freedman, Allie Martin and Alyssa Dunlap). Also, longtime coach Phyllis Kilgour, who coached at Radnor for 32 years and won seven District 1 championships, recently retired.
Woehling is the second Radnor rising senior to commit to a Division I school. During the school year, midfielder Leah Gallagher committed to Notre Dame.
“As we look to the future, we’re certainly losing a large portion of our team, but I know for sure that the underclassmen will step up,” Woehling said. “We all have already talked about it, and want to work towards making next year successful as a team.
“It’s been an honor to have been coached by Ms Kilgour, and the fact she was able to retire on such a positive note is amazing. She has cemented a legacy in the history of Radnor sports that will never be lost.”
