Methacton senior defender Nicole Rossi has verbally committed to play Division II lacrosse at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pa.

Methacton senior defender Nicole Rossi has committed to Seton Hill

“I really like the location and the campus is gorgeous,” Rossi said of her decision. “It’s a small school, which I love, but if you want to go into a large city, Pittsburgh is right there.”

Rossi is the third Methacton senior to commit; she follows attack Emily Kellett and midfielder Abby Devlin (Both to Drexel). She will join another Methacton senior, Anthony DeSana (defense) at Seton Hill.

An Honor Roll student, Rossi plans to major in elementary and special education.

“I love little kids and I have done volunteer work with kids,” she said. “Also, my sister needs special education and I have always loved being around her and her friends.”

Rossi, player for Ultimate Goal Lacrosse Club, helped Methacton reach the Pioneer Athletic Conference finals last year while finishing 12-7. This year she believes the Warriors can give seven-time defending champion Boyertown a major challenge.

As an 8th grader, Rossi played with Methacton High’s freshman team along with 14 others. “Now we are all seniors,” she said. “And we are hoping to dominate.”

“Our rivals are Boyertown and last year we lost by one goal on senior night.”

“We are hoping to take them this year!”

Seniors can sign National Letters of Intent during the early signing period Nov. 10-17.
