Wednesday’s scholastic boys’ roundup: Pennsbury moves to 10-0, gears for showdown with Abington

Josh Caven scored four goals, Kenneth Warren had two goals and two assists and Shawn Caven had one goal and five assists as host Pennsbury defeated Council Rock North, 10-3, today, in Suburban One National Conference boys’ lacrosse.

The win moves the Falcons to 10-0 overall and 4-0 in the Suburban One and sets up a first-place showdown Friday with visiting Abington (6-1, 3-0).

Tim Considine added a goal and two assists for the Falcons, who got six saves from goalie Drew Sweetland.

Council Rock North was led by Andrew DiSpirito (two goals, one assist) and Chris Gifford (one goal). Marc McDonald made 15 saves.

Spring-Ford 8, Methacton 6

Drew Thomas had four goals and one assist as the Rams (10-1, 7-1) rebounded from their loss Monday to Owen J. Roberts with a key PAC-10 win.

Chris Germano led the Warriors (6-3, 5-3) with two goals and an assist while Cody Ridgway added two goals. Clay Sobocinski had two assists and Ryan Kelly and Sam McAdoo added a goal apiece to round out the scoring.

Scott Markle posted 11 saves in first half action but Methacton was unable to overcome a four-goal run in the second quarter by Spring-Ford.

Upper Merion 7. Upper Dublin 3

Nate Hare scored three goals and Luc Minnich added a pair while Conor Crowe made 15 saves in goal as the Vikings defeated the Cardinals.

Trevor Kupecky contributed four assists for Upper Merion.

Emmaus 15, Parkland 4

Tate Klidonas had four goals and one assist, Will Scott had three goals and two assists and Stephen Ward collected three goals and one assist while Dan Kinek had three goals, including the 100th of his career, to lead the Green Hornets.

Peddie School (NJ) 5, Hill School 3

Tyler Himes made 15 saves in goal and Teddy Wolter’s tallied two goals for the Blues in defeat.

Bishop Shanahan 14, St. Pius X 0

Keegan Lawton had three goals and one assist and goalies Kyle Sullivan and Ian Lekawa teamed up for a shutout to lead the Eagles.

Interboro 8, Southern Lehigh 2

Adam Moore posted 21 saves in goal and Jordan Graham had four goals and one assist while Brian Van Wyk scored two goals to lead the attack as the Bucs earned the non-league win.

Owen J. Roberts 15, Pottsgrove 4

Tyler Graham and John Pennell each had three goals and two assists and Jake Snelling scored three goals to lead the Wildcats to the PAC-10 win.
