Hatboro-Horsham senior midfielder Greg Cutilli has been named the United Sports Scholar-Athlete of the Week
Cutilli, a member of the National Honor Society who takes AP and Honors course, will attend Lehigh University next year as an Engineering major. He enjoys classes in mathematics and science and said, “This is where I’m going to be happy.”
Cutilli said his parents have been his inspiration for his dedication toward academics: “My parents have taught me to work hard; it was just how I was raised. Plus, I have the most influential big brother and the competition between he and I has always kept me going.”
Cutilli helped the Hatters finish 15-4 last year and advance to the second round of the District 1 playoffs. He is optimistic that the team can challenge for the Suburban One Continental Conference title. The Hatters have won four games in a row since dropping a one-goal loss to Garnet Valley to open the season.
“We are a contender to win the league,” said Cutilli, “as long as we keep working hard.”
