Tuesday’s boys’ scholastic roundup: Hatboro-Horsham downs CB East; La Salle tops Emmaus

Ryan Kreston and Kyle Schwartz each had a goal and an assist as visiting Hatboro-Horsham defeated Central Bucks East, 6-5, to force a tie for first place today in the Suburban One Continental Conference.

Both teams are now 8-1 in the league. The Hatters are 11-3 overall while the Patriots – ranked sixth in the PA Media Rankings – fall to 11-2.

Brendan Coleman led the Pats with two goals.

La Salle 8, Emmaus 4

Dan Losier and Christian Cardinal each scored twice for the Explorers in the non-league win.

Tate Klidonas led the Green Hornets with a pair of goals and goalie Joe Magargal kept his team alive with 10 saves.

Radnor 14, Harriton 1

Jeff Gold scored five goals to pace the Red Raiders to the Central League win.

Conestoga 14, Strath Haven 1

Dan Cohen, Brad Herzlich, Zach Jacobs, Matt Smith, Austin Rogusky and Kevin Rudd each had two goals.

Abington 16, Council Rock South 4

Matt Rambo scoered four goals and Ryan Ambler added three goals and four assists to lead the Ghosts.

Audenried 7, Del-Val Charter 1

Darrien Glover and Thomas Thompkins each scored twice as Audenried claimed the Public League win.

George Washington 9, Mastery Charter 1

Colin Kramer scored two goals to lead George Washington to the Public League victory.

Upper Merion 24, Upper Moreland 1

Nate Hare collected six goals and four assists and Trevor Kupecky had two goals and an amazing eight assists while Luc Minnich and John Widmaier each contributed five goals and one assist for the Vikings.

Unionville 12, Holy Ghost Prep 5

Mike Nowoswiat tallied five goals for the Indians n the non-league win.

Springfield-Delco 13, Upper Darby 1

Jesse Martin scored four goals and Joe Venit had three, incouding the 100th of his career, to pace the No. 1 Cougars.

Upper Dublin 12, Plymouth Whitremarsh 6

Patrick Nolan had three goals and two assists for the Colonials in their Suburban One American loss to the Cards.

Wissahickon 19, Norristown 2

AJ Anderson notched four goals and an assist, Nick Lucchesi had three goals and one assist and Garret Rosiek had a goal and four assists for the Trojans.

Shipley 9, Academy of the New Church 4

Julius Mouser scored four goals and Mike Litner added three goals and an assist for the Gators.

Souderton 13, Central Bucks South 3

Lee Stiles had five goals and two assists and Ridge Schultz added three goals for the Indians. Vincent Preston scored all three goals for CR South.

Bishop Shanahan 6, Great Valley 5

Keegan Lawton had three goals and one assist and Michael Thompson (two goals), Jordan McGinty, Chris Cordivari combined for 17 groundballs for the Eagles. Goalie Kyle Sullivan garnered 12 saves and five groundballs.

Dan Buccholz had two goals for the Patriots.

Perkiomen Valley 8, Methacton 6

Chris Germano lead the Warriors with two goals while Clay Sobocinski and Ryan Kelly each scored one.

Ryan Murphy recorded 13 saves while Alex DuVernois, Scott Markle, and Anthony DeSana each had three ground balls for Methacton.

Owen J. Roberts 16, Boyertown 8

Cole Stewart had four goals and one assist, Kohl Batdorf had three goals and three assists, Jake Snelling scored three goals and Tyler Graham added two goals and two assists for OJR.
