Trashcan Lacrosse U-15 boys’ club team earns tourney championship at Jersey Shootout

Scott Scheuerle (Harriton) scored the game-winning goal with 3:15 left to lead the Trashcan U-15 Lacrosse Club to a 5-4 victory over Mercer Lake Saturday to earn the tournament championship at the Jersey Shootout in Metuchen.

pass to Scheuerle for the game-winner on a man-up situation.

Colin Reder (Episcopal Academy) held the five Trashcan opponents to nine goals on the day. This was the first tournament for Trashcan Lacrosse, which was formed this year and features players form several youth programs in the Philly area.

The team is coached by Andy Hayes (Episcopal Academy head coach) and assistant Marty Kupprion (Lower Merion assistant).
