Thursday’s boys’ roundup: Spring-Ford tops OJR, Radnor defeats Strath Haven

Brian Brock had four goals and an assist and Colton Szostek added two goals as host Spring-Ford defeated Owen J. Roberts, 11-7, tonight in a key Pioneer Athletic Conference boys’ game.

Josh Sutterfield and Billy McCabe each added a goal and an assist for the Rams, who improved to 16-1 overall. Both the Rams and Wildcats (13-4) have one league defeat.

Dylan Swope led the Wildcats with three goals.

Radnor 8, Strath Haven 4

Ben Junior had two goals and an assist and Spencer Lussier and Jeff Puckette each scored twice while Brendan Manderack made nine saves for the Red Raiders in the Central League win.

Lower Merion 17, Harriton 6

Andrew Mongeluzzi had six goals and Jordan Wold added four goals and two assists while Ahmad Zachary had three goals and three assists to lead the Aces past the Rams in a Central League game.

Mark Dolphin had a goal and an assist for the Panthers.

Springfield-Delco 5, Ridley 1

Austin Kaut made 15 saves in goal and Colin Keegan scored twice as the No. 1-ranked Cougars (15-1) defeated the Green Raiders to move one game away from winning the Central League crown. Springfield-Delco (15-1, 10-0 league) can clinch the crown by topping Radnor at home on Tuesday.

Penncrest 11, Upper Darby 3

Scott Shortall tallied four goals and Adam Yee added two for the Lions.
Downingtown West 11, Sun Valley 3

Dustin Keen made 22 saves and Ryan Higgins had two goals and an assist while Dylan Ikkala and Brad Shenberger each scored two goals for the Whippets in the Ches-Mont League win.

Unionville 14, Henderson 12

Richard Kaiser had three goals and two assists and Billy Donovan added three goals and one assist while Jack O’Neill was strong at the face-off X (won 18 draws) for the Indians.

Max Siskind led the Warriors with five goals and two assists.

Lansdale Catholic 11, North Penn 4

Liam Malley had two goals and four assists to lead the Crusaders past the Knights in a non-league battle of cross-town rivals.

Germantown Academy 11, Upper Dublin 4

Jacob Adoni made16 saves, Reid Weber scored five goals and Beau Jones added two goals and an assist to lead the Patriots to the non-league win.

CR South 14, Upper Moreland 1

Nick Gugielmi had four goals and one assist as the Indians cruised to the non-league win.

Upper Merion 17, Springfield-Montco 4

Nate Hare had nine goals and one assist and Trevor Kupecky contributed one goal and eight assists to lead the Vikings to the easy win.
