Sean Walsh scored off a Pat Fisher feed in the second overtime to lift Strath Haven to a 6-5 thriller over Bishop Shanahan Wednesday in non-league boys’ lacrosse action at Kelly Field in West Chester.
Mark Dolphin had two goals for the Panthers (1-2) and Pat Fisher had a goal and an assist. Mitch Cross and Sam Huestis also scored once each and Walsh had an assist.
The different may actually have been Strath Haven sophomore goalie Steve Broduer, who made 17 saves and kept his team alive early on. Bishop Shanahan led, 4-1 at halftime and 5-2 after three periods.
Keegan Lawton led Shanahan (0-1) with three goals and Jim Stanley had a goal and two assists while Jordan McGinty scored once.
