Brian VanWyk scored four goals and Adam Moore made 14 saves as visiting Interboro outscored Marple Newtown, 9-1, in the second half and defeated the Tigers, 11-7, today in non-league boys’ lacrosse.
Hunter Jackalous had two goals and an assist for the Bucs (1-1) while Kyle Rasley scored two goals and Vince Latham and Dylan Mollica each had a goal and an assist. Ron Lassiter had one goal and Nicky Iadicicco contributed two assists. Dan Hopson, who had one assist, led the defense along with Shawn Lee and Nick Graham.
Marple Newtown led, 6-2, at halftime.
“The boys came out hard in the second half after being down 4-0 and 6-2 at different points in the first half,” said Interboro coach Justin McQuaid. “Defensively, they buckled down and played extra aggressive in the second half.”
Ryan Taylor scored two goals for Marple Newtown (0-3).
