Rain, rain go away, come again another day! That’s what girls’ coaches were singing last week when many games were called off due to excessive flooding. There was little movement in the rankings since barely anybody played.

The one Top 10 team that lost was Archbishop Carroll, but the Patriots did a respectable job at St. Petersburg where they fell to mighty Vero Beach (13-0) by an 18-8 count. This week’s Phillylacrosse.com Girls’ Rankings:

1. Radnor (1-0) – The Red Raiders thumped Bayard Rustin, 21-7, in their opener. They host Penncrest in their Central League opener Tuesday and then face an interest test Wednesday when they host Downingtown East. (Prev: 1).

2. Unionville (1-0) – The Indians – who have been off for 10 days – play at Penncrest today and then host Catholic Academies power Villa Maria Academy on Tuesday. (Prev: 2).

3. Springfield-Delco (4-0) – The Cougars have yet to be tested, having outscored their foes, 62-14. They open Central League play Tuesday at home against Lower Merion. (Prev: 3).

4. Archbishop Carroll (0-1) – The Patriots get bonus points for scheduling Florida power Vero Beach in their spring trip. They open Catholic League play at Archbishop Ryan on Thursday. (Prev: 4).

5. North Penn (2-0) –
The Maidens host Hatboro-Horsham Thursday in a Suburban One Continental Conference opener and then plays at Conestoga Friday. (Prev: 5).

6. Episcopal Academy (0-0) – EA finally gets its season going at Germantown Academy in an Inter-Ac game Friday. (Prev: 6).

7. Downingtown East (2-0) – The Cougars scored a nice 11-10 win over Conestoga last week, but the real test is Wednesday at No. 1 Radnor. (Prev: 7).

8. Strath Haven (1-0) – The Panthers also have had a long layoff and host Haverford Tuesday and play at Harriton Thursday in Central League games. (Prev: 8).

9. Merion Mercy (1-0) – The Bears host Nazareth Tuesday in a Catholic Academies game and then play at No. 10 Notre Dame Saturday. (Prev: 9).

10. Notre Dame (1-0) – The Fighting Irish open Inter-Ac league play Friday against visiting Agnes Irwin. (Prev: 10).

Teams to Watch (alphabetical order): Archbishop Wood 0-0, Boyertown 1-1; Conestoga 1-1, Downingtown West 2-1, Great Valley 1-0, Harriton 3-0, Pennridge 2-0, Upper Dublin 1-0.
