The Philadelphia region teams will be holding tryouts for the Under Armour Underclassmen Games in June for players finishing their freshman, sophomore and junior years at Eastern University in Radnor Township.
The girls’ tryouts will be held on June 14-15 from 5-8 p.m. and the Philly boys’ team tryouts will be held on June 16-17 from 5-8 p.m.
The Philly girls’ team is being coached by Downingtown East coach Caitlin Barbakoff; the boys’ team is headed by Springfield-Delco head coach Michael Friel.
Players can register to try out directly on the Under Armour website at www.underarmourlacrosse.com.
Eight teams – from Philly, New Jersey, Baltimore, Upstate New York, the Midwest, Washington D.C. Long Island and New England will compete in pool play on July 3 and then championship play July 4 at Towson University. Each team will be guaranteed four games and the event will be attended by numerous college coaches.
