A round robin series of games involving the Duke’s Lacrosse Club, Rebel Elite Lacrosse Club and the Inter-Ac League all-Stars will kick off the 2nd Philly Lacrosse Showcase on Friday, Nov. 19 at Cabrini College, Showcase officials announced today.
The games will begin at 7 p.m. Andy Hayes, President of Showcase Lacrosse, said the games will further showcase Philly talent as the coaches settle into Philadelphia to attend the Saturday boys’ event at the Philly Lacrosse Showcase at Episcopal Academy.
“Many of the college coaches attending the Boys’ Showcase on Saturday arrive in the Philly area on Friday.” he said. “This additional session just gives them another opportunity to watch some of the great talent in the Philly area.
“We are very happy to add this Friday night session to what promises to be a great weekend.”
The event is open to all college coaches and to the public. Further details about the Friday night schedule will be forthcoming. Showcase Lacrosse wishes to thank Steve Colfer, head coach at Cabrini College, for making the event possible.
The Philly Lacrosse Showcase will feature a boys’ event (Nov. 20) and a girls’ event (Nov. 21) at EA. The boys’ event is already sold out and will feature more than 300 of the top players in the country. More than 100 coaches are expected to attend.
The girls’ event still has openings. It is open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors and each player is guaranteed at least three games. In the afternoon, the top players will be selected to compete in the Gait Lacrosse Fab 40 All-Star Games.
