Men’s recruits: Six Philly grads will play Division III lacrosse

The following Philly boys are playing college lacrosse this year at the Division III level:

*Nate Kotarra, Harriton, attackman, Drew. Kotarra played club lacrosse for Rebel Elite and made the Fab 40 team in the Philly Lacrosse Showcase last November.

*Jimmy Mann, Central Bucks West, midfielder, Gwynedd Mercy College. Mann was a Third Team Suburban One Continental Conference pick in 2010.

*Ryan Lewis, Plymouth Whitemarsh, defenseman/LSM, Clarkson Univ. (N.Y.). Lewis, who played club lacrosse for Penn Premier, was a Third Team Suburban One American Conference pick for a Colonials team that finished 12-7 and advanced to the District 1 playoffs.

*Derek Schmidt, Stephen Ward and TJ Doherty, Emmaus, each will attend Marywood. Ward (attackman) had 30 goals and 12 assists, and teamed with Schmidt (midfielder) and Doherty (defenseman) to help the Green Hornets win the Lehigh Valley Conference and District 11 championships and advance to the quarterfinals of the PIAA tournament.
