Bridgewater-Raritan High (NJ) face-off specialist-midfielder Tyler Barbarich, who plays club lacrosse for Twist, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Delaware.
Barbarich was an All-Skyland Conference pick for a team that went 16-3 and reached the finals of the New Jersey Group 4 state championships.
“Delaware has an excellent Exercise Physiology program and coach (Bob) Shillinglaw and I got along real well,” said Barbarich. “I know a lot of the recruits and I like how the campus is set up. Also, it’s not far from home.”
Barbarich said his team expects to content for state honors again in 2011.
“We’re very young, but the grade below mine has a lot of Division I commits and if we play together we should be even better next year.”
