Recent Conestoga graduate Ben Ross (midfielder) has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Franklin & Marshall College.
Ross, who will prep for one year at Berkshire School (Mass.), was a contributor to a Pioneers team that won the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) championship in 2010. Ross played club lacrosse for Mesa Fresh 2010.

Ross, a member of the National Honor Society, plans to study business at F&M.
“I chose F&M because of its strong academic and lacrosse traditions,” Ross said. “During my visit I could really see myself there. I wanted a small Division III college with a strong lacrosse program and a great academic reputation and F&M seemed perfect for me.
“The players were all very welcoming and I’m excited to play under coach (Todd) Cavallaro (former Penn assistant) and the great coaching staff.”
Ross said he looks back on the 2010 scholastic season with fond memories. The Pioneers went 24-2 and earned national recognition.
“This past season was unbelievable,” he said. “It’s a great feeling to bring home a state title with a team that you have been playing with since elementary school. Our hard work, team chemistry, and great coaching staff made this a season I’ll never forget. I wish it could keep going.”
