Conestoga rising senior midfielder Billy Flatley has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Georgetown University.
Flatley was a key contributor on a Pioneers team that went 24-2 and claimed the

Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championship in 2010.
Flatley, an Honor Roll student who also considered Syracuse and Delaware, plans to major in Business.
“I liked that it was in Washington, D.C. and has really good academics and a good lacrosse program,” he said.
Flatley also is a member of the Duke’s Lacrosse Club, which Sunday won its fifth straight championship at Champ Camp at Johns Hopkins.
“It was a real good experience, playing all those good teams,” he said. “You see all the classes ahead of you winning and that really makes you want to win more.”
Flatley credited the senior class for leading Conestoga to the state title in 2010 over La Salle. In 2009, the Pioneers fell to the Explorers in the title game.
“It was a great year and a great senior class that led us and brought us together,” he said.
Flatley is the fifth member of the rising senior class at Conestoga to commit to a Division I college. The others are midfielders Kevin Rudd (Bryant) and Tanner Scott (Duke), defenseman Benn Karr (Ohio State) and long stick midfielder Brian Dailey (Duke).
