The Lehigh men’s lacrosse team is set to host the fourth annual Lehigh Lacrosse Community Night on Friday – and event that features a free clinic and a meet and greet, followed by a Brown/White scrimmage.
Action kicks off at 6 p.m. prior to the 7:30 p.m. intrasquad game.
“We look forward to a terrific night of lacrosse in the Lehigh Valley,” said Mountain Hawks head coach Kevin Cassese. “Our community night clinic is a great opportunity for young lacrosse players in the area to meet and work with the players and coaches in our program as we get a chance to unveil the ‘first draft’ of the 2010-11 team.
“The team has been hard at work for over four weeks and they are anxious to compete in a game-like setting under the lights on Banko Field.”
The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. at the Ulrich Sports Comlex’s Banko Field. A free lacrosse clinic and meet and greet with players and coaches is planned. Fans have the opportunity to meet and work with Lehigh play, and then see them in action immediately following the clinic. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
The Brown/White game will serve as the first glimpse of the 2010-11 squad and a final tuneup before the Headstrong Foundation Nick Colleluori Classic on Oct. 9 in Philadelphia. The Mountain Hawks face Towson at 11 a.m. and Fairfield at 4 p.m. that day.
