Haverford School has 20 graduates playing Division I lacrosse

There are 20 Haverford School graduates playing Division I lacrosse this year.

The list features four members of last year’s Inter-Ac League co-champions, including Duke’s starting goaltender, Dan Wigrizer. Also starting in the early-going from the Class of 2009 is Vermont defenseman JJ Newland.

From the Class of 2007, Kyle Wharton is a Preseason All-American at Johns Hopkins and John Haldy is starting for No. 2 Virginia at midfield. Here is the list:

Danny Wigrizer – Duke (starter)
Stocky Euler – Lafayette
JJ Newland – Vermont (starter)
Wills Miller – Bucknell

Class of 2008
Peter Borror – Virginia
Kurt Watkinson – Georgetown
Ben Rossman – Dartmouth
Doug Emrich – Bucknell
Rory O’Connor – Vermont (starter)
Craig Owen – Drexel
Will Heffernan – Lafayette

Class of 2007
Chris Aitken – Villanova
Josh Eife – Army
Chris Ryan – Lehigh
John Haldy – Virginia (starter)
Kyle Wharton – Johns Hopkins (starter)
Will Scudder – Lehigh

Class of 2006
Marty Gallagher – Navy
Paul Barnes – Princeton
Pete Burchfield – Colgate
