Haverford College’s Max Hjelm (Conestoga) has earned InsideLacrosse.com’s Nike Player of the Week after his performance in the Fords’ season-opening victory over Cabrini College last Saturday at Swan Field.
Hjelm netted a game-high four goals and added an assist in the victory. He also picked up four ground balls which tied for the lead of all field players.
Last season Hjelm scored 45 goals and added 13 assists on his way to a 58-point season. He was named to the Honorable Mention All-America squad for his efforts that helped lead Haverford into the second round of the NCAA tournament following a regular season Centennial Conference title, the program’s first.
