Vince Arena, a freshman defenseman from Conestoga, has been added to the roster at St. Joseph’s University.
Arena was a reserve on a Pioneers team that won its first PA state title in 2010, going 24-2 and defeating defending champion La Salle in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association finals.
Arena, at 6-foot-4, joins fellow Conestoga grad Matt Dougherty (junior attackman) at St. Joe’s. Other St. Joe’s freshmen from Philly include attackmen Mark Dolphin (Strath Haven) and Brian Urban (Central Bucks East), midfielder Billy Annesley (Haverford School) and defenseman Jack Moran (Malvern Prep).

The Division I recruits include Casey Ikeda (Maryland, defenseman), Ryan Lord (Maryland, midfielder), Matt Smith (Lehigh, attackman), Ryan Buttenbaum (face-off specialist, Lehigh), Peter Zonino (Hobart, goalie) and Austin Rogusky (Loyola, midfielder). Other Division III recruits include Dan Cohen (Ursinus, long stick midfielder), Zach Jacobs (Haverford College, attackman), Peter Bowers (Tufts, midfielder), Ben Ross (Franklin & Marshall, midfielder), Gus Sturm (Scranton, attackman-midfielder), Austin Campbell (Denison, defenseman) and Mike Honebrink (Susquehanna/attackman/midfielder).
