The Eastern Pennsylvania scholastic lacrosse Association (EPSLA) has announced its selection of coaches for the annual EPSLA Showcase.
The event will be held on Thursday, June 17 at Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Two games – for sophomores (6 p.m.) and juniors (8 p.m.) – will be held with public school and private school All-Star teams squaring off. Admission is $5.
The public Sophomore team will be coached by Hatboro-Horsham coach Dave Sowers while Haverford School’s John Nostrant will coach the Private Sophomores. Springfield-Delco’s Michael Friel will coach the Public Juniors and Episcopal Academy’s Andy Hayes will coach the private juniors.
The coaches were nominated and selected by the EPSLA coaches. Assistants will be named in the next few weeks.
The tryouts – featuring the top 300 players from the Philadelphia region – will be held on Sunday, June 13 at Plymouth Whitemarsh High from 4-7 p.m.
