Conestoga long stick midfielder and Duke signee Brian Dailey played a key role by scooping eight groundballs, many off the draw. “It’s all about the face-off. I like the face-offs; that’s my game.”
Duke signee Jordan Wolf had three goals and two assists to lead the Aces while Joey Shallow scored three goals. Sophomore Eli Newschaffer made 14 saves in goal.
“Ryan (Buttenbaum) was able to win a lot of face-offs and Tyler Brooke provided the offensive spark there in the third quarter to get the offense going,” said Conestoga coach Brian Samson. “Our execution could have been better, but we are moving on.”
