The Swarthmore women’s lacrosse team stretched its winning streak to three on Thursday night with a decisive 17-5 victory over the Moravian as sophomore Annelise Mowry led the Garnet attack with four goals and two assists.
It only took two minutes before Mowry would strike for her ninth time of the season to give the Garnet (3-0) the early lead. Mowry’s goal would spark an 11 goal first half that left the Greyhounds in the dust.
Nicole Vanchieri added three goals while Abbe Muller, Amy Vachal and Marie Mutryn all netted two goals.
In goal senior Allison Grein made 11 saves.
Moravian was led by Angel Genther’s two goals.

Beth Young (Villa Maria Academy) had a goal, an assist and four draw controls while twin sister Kathy Young (Villa Maria Academy) added an assist and two draw controls to lead the Mids (9-1).
Men
Chestnut Hill College 18, Penn State Abington 1
The Griffins (3-2) got five goals from Junji Weiner and three from from Mark Lively.
The Nittany Lions’ score came on an unassisted goal by freshman Andrew Hannigan (Archbishop Ryan).
