Richard Carrington has resigned as head men’s lacrosse coach at Chestnut Hill College and will be replaced on an interim basis by assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Mike Terranova,
CHC Director of Athletics and Recreation Lynn Tubman made the announcement today. The Griffins finished 4-11 overall and 0-10 in the East Coast Conference (ECC) as a first-year program in 2010.
“We thank Richard for all of his good work at the College and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Tubman said. “We have appointed Michael Terranova, our assistant men’s lacrosse coach, to serve as our interim head coach while we conduct a search for a new head coach. Chestnut Hill College has complete confidence in Michael Terranova’s ability to lead the program through the fall season.”
A search for a new head coach will begin promptly at Chestnut Hill College. Information concerning the position’s reopening will be available shortly.
