Cabrini picked to win 11th straight CSAC crown by Inside Lacrosse

Cabrini College was picked to win its 11th straight Colonial States Athletic Conference crown by Inside Lacrosse magazine’s face-Off Yearbook.

The Cavaliers have six players on the preseason all-league team: defenseman John McSorley (Ridley/junior) and Steve Heaps (senior), face-off specialist Mike Gurenlian (Springfield-Delco/senior) a, long stick midfielder Anthony Mazza (senior), midfielder Paul Skulski (Garnet Valley/senior) and attackman Brian Hill (Ridley/junior).

Skulski had 35 goals and 23 assists last year while Hill added 28 goals and 16 assists. Heaps picked up 63 groundballs, McSorley scooped 49 and Mazza had 35 GBs, while Gurenlian won .68 percent of his face-offs.

Gwynedd Mercy College is picked to finish third behind Marywood. The Griffins feature two all-league picks: sophomore attackman Mason Risner and junior defenseman Zach Richter (Boyertown). Risner had 29 goals and 12 assists last year.

Immaculata is rated No. 4 and Neumann is No. 6 behind Centenary.
