The hiring was reported by Matt Blymier, the lacrosse beat writer at the Lancaster Intelligencer.
Ondrusek replaces longtime mentor Doug Bailey, who was let go after taking Hempfield to the District 3 championship in 2010 and winning 260 games and seven Central PA titles in 16 seasons.
Ondrusek, who also spent one year as the middle school coach, is an assistant coach for Blue Mountain club.
Ondrusek, a Binghamton, N.Y. native, played lacrosse at Saint Michael’s College and helped start the lacrosse program at Lycoming College.
