Phillylacrosse.com salutes the accomplishments of the region’s girls’ lacrosse players with Day 2 of its All-Phillylacrosse.com choices. The players were selected with much input from region coaches.
Midfield/Offense
Allie Martin, Radnor, Sr.
US Lacrosse All-American, Academic All-American, All-ESPN Rise Champion Showcase, Central League first-team pick … She scored 92 goals and had over 200 in her career … Helped lead the Red Raiders to a share of the Central League title, and the District 1 and PIAA championships … Will play at the University of Pennsylvania.
US Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, Pioneer Athletic Conference first-team pick … Scored 119 goals (318 for career) in leading Trojans to PAC-10 and District 1 playoffs … Will play at Syracuse University.
Colleen O’Malley, Great Valley, Sr.
US Lacrosse All-American, Ches-Mont League first-team pick … Led Philly area with 120 goals, and added 71 draw controls and 53 groundballs … Led Patriots to undefeated regular season, Ches-Mont League crown, and a berth in District 1 semifinals. … Will play at the University of Louisville.
Lauren Purvis, Hatboro-Horsham, Sr.
US Lacrosse All-American, Under Armour All-American, Suburban One Continental Conference first-team pick, League MVP, ESPN Rise Showcase team MVP … Collected 55 goals and 48 in leading Hatters to District 1 playoffs… Will play field hockey and lacrosse at Penn State University.
Hannah Schmitt, Archbishop Carroll, Jr.
US Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, Catholic League first-team pick … Scored 51 goals in helping Patriots win 10th straight Catholic League crown and advance to PIAA quarterfinals … Has committed to Loyola College.
Lindsey Smith, Unionville, Sr.
US Lacrosse All-American, Academic All-American, Ches-Mont League first-team pick … Collected 78 goals (218 for career), 42 assists, and 74 draw controls to help the Indians place second in the Ches-Mont, third in District 1 and reach the PIAA semifinals … Will play at the University of Pennsylvania.
Taylor Trimble, Episcopal Academy, Jr.
US Lacrosse All-American, Academic All-American, Inter-Ac League first-team pick … She had 70 goals, 31 assists and 56 draw controls to lead EA to sixth straight Inter-Ac title … She was the repeat winner of the Heather Leigh Albert Award as the Outstanding Player in the National Tournament … She has committed to play at Duke University.
Sloan Warren, Baldwin School, Jr.
US Lacrosse All-American, Academic All-American, Inter-Ac League first-team pick … Collected 109 goals and 29 assists in helping the Bears place fourth in the Inter-Ac … Has more than 300 career goals … Has committed to play at the University of Virginia.
