The Wissahickon Lacrosse Club wrapped up a memorable run in the inaugural U.S. Lacrosse National U-15
Championship Tournament today by claiming a fourth-place finish at Cedar Lane Sports Park in Bel Air, Md.

Wissahickon fell to Relentless Hustle, 17-11, in the third-place consolation game. Wissahickon was led by
Olivia Gannon, who scored four goals. Earlier in the day in the semifinals, Wissahickon fell to Stars Gold
(Va.), 14-10, despite three goals by Haley Schweizer.

Schweizer was named to the all-tournament team for Wissahickon, which went 5-2 as one of the rare township teams in a 30-team tourney dominated by all-star club teams. Also named to the all-tourney team was Natalie Schmitt of the Phantastix Purple squad. CheckHers of Maryland won the crown by downing Stars Gold, 19-12 in the title game.

In the opening round of boys’ competition today, PennStar won its first two games in pool play, topping Patriot Lacrosse (N.J.), 7-6, and blanking Great Plains (Kan.), 15-0.

Twist Lacrosse won two of its three games in pool play, opening with a 5-3 conquest of the Rhode Island Boys and then defeating Greater Houston, 9-5, before bowing to PrimetimeLacrosse of New York, 7-5.
