The Twist 2011 boys’ club team finished its Fall season recently with a strong showing at the Blue & Gold Hofstra Lacrosse Tournament.
Twist opened up the tourney with a 12-2 win over Philly rival HEADstrong Young Guns, followed by strong wins over Long Island Select, 12-4, and Checkmate, 7-6, to close out the tourney.
Playing shorthanded at attack, Stephen Gratch, (Hun School, NJ), Matt Brodzik (Central Bucks East) and Josh Caven (Pennsbury) saw most of the action and displayed strong ball movement and hard riding. Sean Reilly (CB East) was dominant at the face-off X. Defensively, Weston French, (CB East) Zac Bitzer (CB East) and Graham Conlan (Hill School) played aggressive defense, The defense also was strong on man down situations, only giving up a few goals all day.
Strong transition play was turned in by middies Robinson (Germantown Academy), Brendan Coleman (CB East), Dylan Swope (Owen J. Roberts) and Reid Weber (Germantown Academy).
