Episcopal Academy midfielder Taylor Trimble and Baldwin School midfielder Sloan Warren have been listed among the top 15 Young Guns rising juniors in the Inside Lacrosse September issue that reached subscribers in the past few days.
Trimble was a first-team All-American in 2009 when she helped the Churchwomen claim the Inter-Ac League championship. Trimble collected 77 goals, 31 assists, 50 draw controls and 101 groundballs. Trimble, a second-team All-Phillylacrosse.com choice, also won the Heather Leigh Albert Award as the outstanding player for the Philly I team that won the Schoolgirls National Tournament title in May. Trimble, a first-team All-Inter-Ac choice, also played on the Philly team that took a third in the Under Armour Underclassmen games.
Warren – a two-time member of the Under Armour Underclassmen team – collected 71 goals, 27 assists and 46 draw controls in 2009. She was an Honorable Mention All-American choice who earned third-team All-Phillylacrosse.com and first-team All-Inter-Ac honors. Warren pumped in 106 goals as a freshman when she also was first-team All-Inter-Ac.
Both players compete for the Phantastix Purple club team.
