From Press Releases

Lesley Graham, a former assistant at Division I Canisius College who starred at Spring-Ford High and coached there for one year, has been named the head coach of the Chestnut Hill College women’s lacrosse team.

Chestnut Hill Director of Athletics and Recreation Lynn Tubman recently announced the hiring.

Graham was an assistant at Canisius for two years and helped the squad go 9-9 in 2009, after opening with contests against two nationally ranked schools, Notre Dame and Syracuse. The Golden Griffins made an appearance in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships and had four women receive first team all-conference honors at season’s end.

Graham also coached internationally, serving as an assistant coach for the Scottish Junior National Under-19 Team during the 2005-2006 scholastic year. The next season she coached at Spring-Ford.

Graham starred in lacrosse at Ithaca College and served as a team captain for a program that was a two-time NCAA qualifier (2003 & 2004) and an East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Champion (2002). As a senior, Graham was an all-conference selection in 2005 and earned the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Graham was an Academic All-American for Spring-Ford in 2001.
