Pennridge rising senior midfielder Emily Maher has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at American University.
Maher was a first-team All-Suburban One Continental Conference choice in 2009, helping the Rams finish 13-6 while earning their first District 1 playoff berth in many years.
Maher also played on the Philly 2 team at the Women’s Division National Tournament in May. She has played for the Ultimate Goal lacrosse team for the past two years. At American, Maher will join fellow Philly recruits Nicole Lombardo (Springside School midfielder) and Genni Hull (Archbishop Carroll attack).
Rising senior student-athletes cannot sign a national letter of intent until November.
