Lauren Sherman, a Penncrest High graduate, has been named head women’s coach at Chestnut Hill College.
Sherman, who starred at Marist College, was formerly the head coach for Penncrest High School’s junior varsity team and an assistant for the varsity squad. During her years at Marist College (2002-2005), Sherman established herself as a true scholar-athlete, placing among the top 10 all-time in three major categories.
She sits fifth in scoring (94 points), fourth in assists (41), and second in games played (63) at Marist. Meanwhile, she also found success in the classroom earning Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic honors and Dean’s List status in each of her four years. Sherman was a three-time team Most Valuable Player for Penncrest.
