This week’s Competitive Edge Female Underclass Honor Roll:
Kellyn Warren, Downingtown West, junior midfielder
Off the field: She is a member of the National Honor Society, is President of the Latin Club, is a youth swimming coach and attends mission trips for the Pittsburgh Project. She has a 4.0 GPA.
On the field: She is a dependable player who has 14 goals and 9 assists and is second on the team in draw controls,
Morgan Obendorfer, Downingtown West, junior center
Off the field: She is a youth soccer coach and a referee for the Girls Athletic Association, who named her “referee of the year.” She also teaches soccer to children who have blindness and has a 3.4 GPA.
On the field: She leads the team in groundballs and is second on the squad in goals with 33. A workhorse, she is the team’s center and an all-around player on both sides.
Monica Parcell, Interboro, junior midfield
Off the field: She has a 99 percent average with weighted AP and Honors courses. She volunteers at her church, Norwood United Methodist, where she helps with children’s worship. She also is a member of Student Council, Class Congress and the is a member of the National Honor Society.
On the field: She is the team’s only returning defensive starter as a defensive midfielder and is a key leader. She also plays in the offensive zone and is a respected teammate and opponent.
