The Duke’s Lacrosse Club (freshman and sophomore team) won the “A” bracket in the 2009 Mushroom Mayhem Lacrosse Tourn
ament in Kennett Square last weekend.
The Duke’s won all five of their games (two games by braveheart as tie breaker at the end of regulation) and capped the day by toppling Thunder Black, 8-6, for the crown.
The Duke’s also claimed an exciting 8-7 triumph (braveheart) over BBX Combined in the semifinals. In pool play, the Duke’s defeated BBX Combined, 11-6, Twist May, 8-1, and Thunder Black, 6-5 (braveheart).
