Boys’ wrap: La Salle edges EA, 8-7; Haverford School wins 3rd straight

    Peter Schwartz scored the game-winner with just over two minutes to play and had three goals and Randy Forster also tallied three goals as visiting La Salle edged Episcopal Academy 8-7, Tuesday in non-league boys’ lacrosse.

    The Explorers (6-3), ranked second in the PA Media Lacrosse Rankings, also got a goal and three assists from Kevin Forster and one goal from Derek Bogorowski. Niko Amato made a key saves on John Gormley’s potential game-tying shot with seven seconds left.

   Gormley and Cody Isdander led EA with three goals each while goalie Matt Lerman was brilliant with 16 saves.

Haverford School 8, Germantown Academy 1

    Matt Walters scored two goals for the Fords (9-6) in the Inter-Ac League win, their third straight victory overall.

    Will Horrocks, Stephen Aitken, Chris Hupfeldt, Liam O’Connor, Joe O’Rourke and Will McNamara also scored for Haverford and Brendan McGrath and Carl Walrath contributed assists. Beau Jones scored for GA.

Radnor 12 Upper Darby 5

    Matt Cherry had two goals and two assists while Zack Donnelly, Jordan Berstein and John Dougherty each scored twice for the Red raiders (9-2) in the Central League win. Charlie Rubin, Will Lawlor, Jeff Puckette and Wes Middendorf each had one goal for Radnor.

Interboro 10, Octorara 1

    Jordan Graham scored three goals while Brian VanWyk and Rich Rossano had two apiece and Adam Moore made 14 saves for the Bucs

Wissahickon 8, Springfield-Montco 2

    Steve Carrozza and Garrett Rosiek each scored twice to lead the Trojans (6-5, 5-2) to the Suburban One American win.

Lansdale Catholic 11, Central Bucks South 11         

    Patrick White had six goals to lead the Crusaders to the non-league win.

    CBS – Adams 5 G, Sanderschaffer 3 G 2 A, Dachowski 1 G 1 A, Poorman 1 G, Berger 1 G.  Sanderschaffer 9 saves.

Sun Valley 11, Cardinal O’Hara 6

    Dennis Krausse scored three goals for the Vanguards. Mike Kerrigan and Eddie McLauighlin scored two apiece for the Lions. 

Central Bucks West 10, Pennridge 7

    Dan Munsell scored three goals and Shane Opperman and Scott Wilbur had two each for the Bucks. Craig Hunsberger led the Rams with three goals and Luke Desrosiers added two,

Collegium Charter 6, Valley Forge 4  

Delaware Friends 13, Phelps 8
