Three Philly boys have committed to playing Division III lacrosse.
Episcopal Academy defenseman Elliott Albert has committed to Weslayan College (CT); Hill School attackman P.J. Mara has committed to Connecticut College and Lenape High (N.J.) midfielder Evan Toepel has committed to perennial power Salisbury State.
Albert was a first-team All-Inter-Ac League and Honorable Mention All-Phillylacrosse.com selection for a squad that finished 13-8 and took third in the Inter-Ac.
Mara, of Princeton, N.J., was a first-team All-Mid-Atlantic Prep league choice for the Blues in 2009.
Toepel, who like Albert plays for the Duke’s Lacrosse Club, was a first-team All-Olympic Conference pick for Lenape. He collected 27 goals and 28 assists and helped the Indians finish 10-8 while reaching the Group 4 (big school) state semifinals.
Salisbury, which has won seven national championships, reached the NCAA quarterfinals last year and finished the season 16-4 overall.
