Three Philly collegiate lacrosse players have been honored by the America East Conference (AEC) for their academic success.
Albany sophomore midfielder Mel Rorie (North Penn) has been named to the AEC Commissioner’s Honor Roll for possessing a GPA of over 3.50. Rorie also enjoyed a standout season on the field, collecting 40 goals and 8 assists, as well as 25 groundballs, 16 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers.
Rorie also was a second-team All-AEC selection for Albany, which finished 9-8 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
Meanwhile, Stony Brook sophomore attack Abby Juliani (Jenkintown) and Hartford sophomore defenseman Dan Gillespie (Episcopal Academy) have been named to the AEC Academic Honor Roll for posting GPAs of over 3.0.
