La Salle senior midfielder Nolan Funchion has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Dickinson College.

Funchion was a letter winner for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Champion Explorers last year. He was also a member of Twist Black, which reached the quarterfinals at Champ Camp in 2009. In addition, Funchion is the captain of La Salle’s water polo team.

Funchion has a 3.8 GPA, is a member of National Honor Society and was selected as a Kairos Leader for his senior class. He is also a Lasallian Service Corps Representative.

At Dickinson, Funchio plans to major in Economics, and will join fellow Philly recruits Will Scott (Emmaus, attackman) and Brian Frankenfield (Wissahickon, midfielder). Last week, La Salle midfielder Jack Bogorowski made a verbal commitment to Johns Hopkins.
