Eight-time Catholic League champion Archbishop Carroll is sending an area-high six players to Division I schools, according to the list of 2008-09 commitments by LaxPower.
The group of signees features All-Phillylacrosse.com first-team pick Annie Brophy (midfield, James Madison) and second-team pick Gabby Capuzzi (midfield, Ohio State). Others are Laura Beck (defense, Ohio State), Megan Corliss (goalie, La Salle), Melissa DiTomo (midfield, La Salle) and Olivia Salata (attack, Monmouth).
Radnor, which won the Central League and District 1 Class AA titles while going 23-0, features five Division I signees: Phillylacrosse.com Co-Players of the Year Kelly Barnes (midfield, Georgetown) and Beth Ellis (midfield, North Carolina), twins Kacie Connors (midfield, Vanderbilt) and Kelly Connors (defense, Vanderbilt) and Molly Early (defender, Richmond).
North Penn, co-champion of the Suburban One National Conference, also has five Division I signees: Julie Mineweaser (midfield, St. Joseph’s), Ali Herman (defender, La Salle), Sara Ciaverelli (defender, La Salle), Lauren Caminiti (defender, Temple) and Kirkland Lewis (goalie, Old Dominion).
