Tyler Johnston scored three goals and Andrew Hodges added two Thursday night as host Ridley defeated Springfield-Delco, 6-2, in a key Central League boys’ game.
The Green Raiders – ranked fifth by Phillylacrosse.com, improved to 4-1 in the Central league and 11-1 overall. The Cougars, ranked eighth, dropped to 3-1 in the league and 8-2 overall.
Colin Keegan and Joe Arrell scored for the Cougars. Scott Kellett posted 10 saves for Ridley and Austin Kaut had 12 for the Cougars.
Germantown Academy 6, Episcopal Ac. 5
Zip Jackson scored with 1 minute, 29 seconds left in overtime as the visiting Patriots (6-3, 2-2) dumped the Churchmen (5-7, 0-3) in an Inter-Ac League contest.
Girls
Harriton 14, Haverford 13
Carly Sukonik scored two of her seven goals in the last 1:10 to send the game into overtime and Chrissy Pasquariello scored with 42 seconds left in OT to give the Rams a thrilling win over the Fords
Jess Rothstein added three goals for Harriton and Pasquariello had two. Sam Trudgeon posted 11 saves. Liz Bassani had four goals while Katie Coyle and Brooke Wieczorek each had three for Haverford.
Baldwin 19, Germantown Academy 18
Sloan Warren pumped in eight goals to lead the visiting Bears (5-1, 3-1) to an Inter-Ac league triumph. Amanda Jones and Kate Henrich scored five goals apiece for the Patriots (5-4, 2-3) while goalie Allie Pedersen had 12 saves for Baldwin.
Great Valley 17, West Chester East 4
Keelin Hood had six goals and two assists while Emily Ellisen had five goals and six assists to lead the Patriots to a rout of the Vikings. Kim Wenger added three goals and two assists and Steph Berger posted eight saves while Morgan Gallagher scored two goals for East.
Strath Haven 20, Lower Merion 2
Annalise Penikis tallied five goals and three assists and Emily Garrity contributed four goals and six assists as the Panthers rolled in the Central League. Alex Duckenfield and Caroline Kelley each added three goals for Strath Haven.
