Lacrosse Evolution will hold a free clinic called the “Guide to Getting Recruited” for girls and their parents on Sunday, Jan. 4 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the training center at 417 Boot Road in Downingtown.

The seminar will target girls in grades 8 through 11. Girls will learn how to talk to college coaches, how to create a player-profile, how to video or not to video, and how to keep communications with coaches organized.

Bring your questions and leave with some answers. There will have current college freshman and sophomores there to answer daughters’ questions about differences in playing in college vs. high school, balancing school and athletics, time commitment, and sacrifices.

Our Experts: Katie McCool (Henderson, Univ. of Delaware); Sarah Bauer (West Chester East, sophomore at Drexel); Genevieve Grossmann (Rutgers); and Colleen Dawson (West Chester East, sophomore at Maryland).

Attendees will take home a timeline with power-point notes so they know where to start. Soda and coffee will be served. Feel free to bring some cookies or other snacks to share.
