Germantown Friends claimed its first win of the season Monday as it downed visiting St. Hubert, 10-6, in a non-league girls’ game.
Betsy Sachs scored four goals for the Tigers (1-3) and Lydia Kring had a fine all-around game with two goals, six draw controls and five ground balls. Maura McInerney-Rowley and Mariah Barstow each added had two goals and Chelsea Guy-Frank paced the defense with five groundballs and three caused turnovers.
North Penn 14, Archbishop Wood 9
Julie Mineweaser pumped in six goals as the visiting Maidens (3-1) toppled the Vikings (6-1) in non-conference girls’ action.
Lauren McDermott added five goals for North Penn while Abby Hartman added two goals and Ali Herman, Lauren Caminiti, Dianna Milano and Sara Ciaverelli played strong defense.
